KeyCreator 7.5 is Released - April, 2008.

KeyCreator 7.5 further expands the capabilities of last year’s breakthrough Direct Dimension-driven Editing functions introduced in version 7. DDE now supports editing of bolt hole circles and matching sets of holes and shafts or pins. Direct Dimension-driven Editing allows users to use an intuitive parametric editing interface on any solid at any time, regardless of how or in what CAD system it was constructed.

The ability to calculate mass properties such as volume and center of gravity on polygon mesh models (polygonal models) has been added to KeyCreator 7.5, significantly expanding the usefulness of STL models and the lightweight polygonal model functionality added in recent releases. KeyCreator accurately analyzes the mass properties of a mixed set of polygonal and solid models, freeing designers to represent purchased or unchanging parts in a large assembly with a polygonal model data type. Using a polygonal model instead of a solid often saves 10 times the file size and memory required by a solid of the same shape, dramatically improving performance with large assemblies.

For the third straight release, a new sheet metal specific tool saves users time in design and manufacturing engineering of sheet metal parts. In KeyCreator 7.5 users can now quickly insert relief features into 3D sheet metal part designs. The BoM function is an all-new replacement for the BoM introduced in CADKEY Workshop, and supports the new Virtual Object database entity. Mouse Gestures have been added as a new extension of the user interface, allowing the user to define gestures and link them to specific commands or macros.

More than forty function additional areas have been extended or enhanced, covering all areas of KeyCreator.
